More Than a Thriller: Why 122 Rules Matters

The 122 Rules series follows a retired Marine turned government assassin, but the connection to service isn’t just on the page.

Service runs through our family.

My father spent his career in the Air Force. Erin’s father was a Marine who served in Vietnam. Both of my grandfathers served in World War II. I have two uncles who served as well. We’re proud of them. Grateful for them. And mindful of the cost that service carries, not just for those who wear the uniform, but for their families too.

Because of that, Tenacious Books Publishing donates 10% of all proceeds from the 122 Rules series to organizations that support soldiers and their families.

For 2025, those proceeds were donated to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF).

Since 1980, SOWF has kept a simple, powerful promise: no family of a fallen Special Operations Warrior, deceased spouse of Special Operations personnel, or Medal of Honor recipient is ever left behind. That promise has now reached nearly 2,000 children, helping provide educational opportunities, honoring the fallen through action, and supporting wounded, ill, and injured Special Operators with dignity and care.

And here’s the part that matters most:

That impact only happens because of you.

Every reader who buys a book, borrows it through Kindle Unlimited, or recommends the series is part of that support. You’re not just reading a thriller — you’re helping real families move forward.

I also want to send a huge thank-you to the beta readers of the 122 Rules series. Your feedback, honesty, and time helped shape these stories into what they became. This series exists because of you, too.

From Erin and me, and from Tenacious Books Publishing: thank you for reading, for supporting, and for helping us give back to the people and families who have given so much.
